Matthew Keilson
Atlanta, Georgia
Nationally recognized litigator and compliance counsel. First-in-the-nation decisions and dismissals — without payment by clients.
Overview
Matthew is a hard-nosed litigator with deep experience in complex commercial disputes. His class action practice runs even deeper. He defends companies against claims filed under a range of state and federal statutes, and his record shows it: Several first-in-the-nation decisions and forced dismissals for no payment. Chambers USA recently recognized that record, ranking Matthew an “Up and Coming” attorney in the same TCPA class action practice where Chambers ranks
WT Band 1.
Matthew also counsels companies on compliance with federal consumer protection and privacy laws, across industries including retail energy, real estate, food and beverage, telecommunications, payments, political outreach, and consumer goods. He has significant experience with insurance coverage disputes and regularly advises on coverage questions as well.
Before entering private practice, Matthew attended the University of Miami School of Law, where he graduated summa cum laude, served as President of the Charles C. Papy Jr. Moot Court Board, was inducted into the Order of the Coif and Order of Barristers, and earned numerous awards for the highest grade in a course. He also served as a Dean’s Fellow and worked in the Federal Appellate Clinic, researching and drafting appellate briefs for the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Before law school, Matthew attended Boston College, where he graduated magna cum laude.
