Ashley Futrell Hinkson, a former Assistant United States Attorney, is a trial lawyer representing businesses and individuals in high-stakes civil litigation. Ashley’s practice is focused on defending consumer class actions alleging violations of state and federal laws throughout the country. She has successfully tried numerous cases in state and federal courts throughout her time in public service and private practice.
Before joining Watstein Terepka, Ashley worked at a global law firm, where her practice focused on civil litigation and government investigations relating to the False Claims Act (FCA). As an Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of Ohio, she prosecuted money laundering, bribery, identity theft, public corruption and narcotics cases. Ashley is a former assistant district attorney in New York City, where she prosecuted various state-level crimes, including property and violent crimes.
Ashley is dedicated to community involvement. She volunteers at The Villages of Carver Family YMCA and is a member of the Rotary Club of Peachtree City and The Links, Incorporated. Ashley has also served on the Boards of Directors of numerous performing arts and leadership organizations. She previously served on the Northern District of Ohio’s Federal Reentry Team, which provided assistance and support for men and women who reentered society after serving time in federal prison.
Before law school, Ashley served as a Capitol Hill senior staffer for several Members of Congress and worked to secure federal funding for urban parks for two national conservation organizations.
