Alex Terepka Quoted by The Verge on Apple’s Trade Secret Claims Against OpenAI

In The Verge, founding partner Alexander Terepka noted that the allegations outlined in Apple’s trade secret complaint against OpenAI are likely sufficient to move the case beyond a motion to dismiss and into discovery, a phase that can be particularly extensive and consequential in trade secret litigation.

Alex explained that disputes involving alleged misappropriation of confidential information often become highly fact-intensive, requiring deep examination of employee communications, devices, internal processes, and company safeguards.

“Apple and OpenAI are going to be in this for the long haul,” Alex told The Verge. “What Apple’s put together here is frankly way more than enough to survive a motion to dismiss. Then you’re going to get into discovery, which in these types of cases can be super involved.”
