Matthew Keilson

Matthew is a highly-skilled and recognized litigator who has, for example, successfully defended companies in dozens of class actions filed under state and federal statutes. Matthew has achieved impeccable results in these cases, obtaining several first-in-the-nation decisions and dismissals of numerous cases without any payment by clients. For his impeccable record, Matthew was recently recognized as an “Associate to Watch” by Chambers.

Matthew also routinely assists companies to ensure compliance with federal consumer protection and privacy laws, including companies in the retail energy, telecommunications, payments, political outreach, and consumer goods verticals. Matthew also has significant experience with insurance coverage disputes, and he regularly provides coverage advice to clients that face claims brought under consumer protection and commercial statutes.

Matthew also has substantial experience litigating other types of complex commercial matters, such as contractual disputes and business torts. He has represented manufacturers, financial corporations, and other companies in such disputes in both federal and state courts.

Matthew has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Georgia Super Lawyers since 2020, and an “Associate to Watch” by Chambers & Partners, which also ranked Matthew’s team as a “Band 1” (highest tier) litigation practice.

Prior to entering private practice, Matthew attended law school at the University of Miami School of Law, where he graduated summa cum laude, served as President of the Charles C. Papy, Jr. Moot Court Board, became a member of the Order of the Coif and Order of Barristers, and received many awards for the highest grade in the class. He also worked as a Dean’s Fellow and was a member of the Federal Appellate Clinic, where he researched and drafted appellate briefs for the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Prior to law school, Matthew graduated magna cum laude from Boston College with a bachelor’s degree in history.
