David Meadows

David Meadows serves as Special Counsel at Watstein Terepka. He has a 24-year track record of success defending companies in class actions and other complex commercial litigation. David has substantial trial experience, having served as lead counsel in federal jury trials, bench trials, and arbitrations. Some of David’s experience includes:

  • Obtained a complete victory on behalf of a logistics company in suit filed by two shareholders for breach of an investment agreement. The court also awarded over $325,000 in attorneys’ fees to David’s client.
  • Part of a team that recently successfully defended a TCPA action and obtained an attorneys’ fee award of more than $200,000 against the plaintiff.
  • Served as lead trial counsel to a major airline in a federal jury trial in which the plaintiff alleged breach of a $30 million-plus contract to retrofit aircraft with aerodynamic improvements.
  • Obtained dismissal of several putative class actions seeking to enjoin the $8 billion merger of two public utilities.
  • Successfully defended a major payment processing company in two suits seeking preliminary injunctions relating to the establishment of reserves in merchant processing accounts. Both cases involved multi-day evidentiary hearings.
  • Advised a major payments company with respect to potential termination of a major contract with a sponsor bank.
  • Obtained summary judgment in favor of securities underwriter in a lawsuit arising from the largest bond default in Georgia history.

Prior to joining WT, David was a partner at multiple global law firms, including Alston & Bird and King & Spalding.
