Abby is a member of WT’s complex commercial litigation and consumer class action defense team. She has successfully defended companies against putative class actions and individual lawsuits involving a variety of state and federal statutes, including the TCPA, FDCPA, FCRA, state privacy statutes, state unfair competition statutes, and other state consumer statutes. She has defended such cases through trial and appeal, obtaining several complete victories immediately before trial. She also has experience litigating a variety of other business matters, including breach of contract, trade secret, fraud, and unjust enrichment claims.

Though Abby has helped clients in all stages of litigation, from case assessment through trial and appeals, she also enjoys working with clients to create and implement bespoke policies and procedures to help avoid litigation altogether. She routinely assists companies with contract negotiation and ensuring their business practices are compliant with state and federal laws, including companies in the telecommunications, home improvement, debt collection, and consumer goods verticals.

Abby graduated magna cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law. During law school, she was an Executive Articles Editor for the Georgia State University Law Review and participated in the Investor Advocacy Clinic, where she advised clients and handled FINRA arbitration cases under the clinical director’s supervision. She also served as a graduate research assistant for two years, co-teaching Lawyering Foundations, Georgia State University’s first-year, required legal writing course. Abby was inducted into the Order of the Coif upon graduation. Before law school, she received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, summa cum laude, from Mercer University.
